        'hey-- I can remember back in my *very* early days with IBM---late 
'70s---we 
used to punch our field service codes into a black box the size of a brick... 
in fact we called it "the brick".  Anyway, once per day I would strap that 
"brick" to the receiver of any available phone handset and it would transmit 
my daily records at 300baud --- I can still hear that thing in my nightmares.

        On a happier note... I don't report *anything* to IBM anymore... at any 
baud 
rate... for any reason... EVER!    aaaaah.
