Be aware that software raid will remove a disk for a simple "glitch", a temporary failure. Just scan the logs for errors, check the drive (smart tests), etc. An attemt to write to a badblock would show on the log. Then re-enable the disk, and watch it. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
