No, because xorg.conf is not read. Remember I used "sax2 --reinit". And my 
xorg.conf is set to use nv, anyway.

Most certainly not! So I want to use "nv", not nvidia, but sax2 wants to 
use the propietary nvidia instead of the open nv. That's what I'm 
grumbling about.
