Yes. It dawned on me that there would be an advantage in having all that extra
stuff available on the DVD.

I haven't installed many packages from repositories; most of my additional
programs are Java apps, which won't be touched by the upgrade. Neither will
Java itself, unless the upgrade has a Java v1.6 release.

Will the proper repositories also be  automatically available to YaST for this
purpose, or I have to find them in order to get the patches?
