Hello! Has anyone tried the combination of Amavisd-new and Sendmail on openSUSE-10.2? It's not working for me and I can't find a matching bug report.
I never had problems with Amavisd-new and Sendmail (running on SUSE-9.2). But now on openSUSE-10.2 Amavisd always produces timeouts. If I read the log files right, there is a timeout in the communication between amavis-milter and amavisd. I followed the instructions in /usr/share/doc/packages/amavisd-new/README.SuSE, especially: * AMAVIS_SENDMAIL_MILTER="yes" in /etc/sysconfig/amavis * $forward_method = undef; $notify_method = 'pipe:flags=q argv=/usr/sbin/sendmail -Ac -i -odd -f ${sender} -- ${recipient}'; in /etc/amavisd.conf He are the logs from /var/log/mail: Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox sendmail[28131]: l9RHwWgQ028131: from=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, size=805, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=some.provider.net [84.189.252.43] Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox amavis[25708]: Net::Server: 2007/10/27-20:06:36 CONNECT UNIX Socket: "/var/spool/amavis/amavisd.sock" Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox amavis[25708]: loaded base policy bank Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox amavis[25708]: loaded policy bank "AM.PDP-SOCK" Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox amavis[25708]: process_request: fileno sock=11, STDIN=0, STDOUT=1 Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox amavis[25708]: switch_to_my_time 480 s, new request Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox amavis[25708]: process_request: suggested_protocol="AM.PDP" on UNIX Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox amavis[25708]: process_policy_request: 0, amavisd (ch1-P-idle), fileno=11 Oct 27 20:06:36 mybox amavis[25708]: switch_to_client_time 480 s, start receiving AM.PDP data Oct 27 20:14:36 mybox amavis[25708]: (!)Requesting process rundown, task exceeded allowed time during waiting for input from client Greetings, Björn -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
