Continuing in my saga to get compiz started under xorg7.3, I have
stumbled across another error and possible piece of the puzzle. While
trying to start compiz with the command line it ran under for xorg 7.2:
compiz --replace --sm-disable --ignore-desktop-hints ccp
--indirect-rendering --no-libgl-fallback
compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0
After executing the command, screen blanks just as it did in 7.2, but
all that happens is all window decorations disappear and keyboard input
is disabled. The mouse still works.
Starting fusion-icon, and waiting 120 secs, I can then select kwin from
fusion-icon.
Anybody got any suggestions? Anybody else have compiz running with Xorg
7.3 and ATI?
