I would be happy to contribute to this aspect. Any suggestions as to how to start? I'm not a committer so I assume for now I should submit some patches?
Submitting patches would make busy work for both of us. I would prefer to just give you CVS write access.

I've worked with Bill before on Jive and so I'll vouch for his hard work ethic. Anyone who's read any Jive source code knows that he's not joking around about Javadoc. :-) Those of you who don't know who Bill is can read a short bio on the Jive Software about page.
