WebWork tags currently won't work in a SiteMesh decorator, as they're actually in different requests. It's a little tricky to get this to work, and WW's architecture doesn't currently allow for it (although it would be _really_ cool if it did).
Using them in the normal SiteMesh decorated page is not a problem of course, it's just the decorator that's problematic.
