Hi Martin, Thanks for that. The autologin works great. Just one more question, whats the remote control password, and how do you change it? I've looked through the help on the site but it doesn't mention the remote control feature, or how to change the password that I can see.
Thanks, Greg -----Original Message----- From: Martin Kreiner [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 02 February 2011 20:34 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [openthinclient-user] Autologin, rebooting thin clients and random wallpapers. hi greg, thanks for the appreciation! concerning your questions: about the "autologin user": it's not possible to change the autologin user "tcos" to a different one without some hacks. but it is possible to create a user "tcos" (otc-ldap, AD or OpenLDAP) and assign applications to this user. so you can easily assign default applications to any TC with autologin. about "wake/reboot/power off thin clients from the management software": it's planned for the future but on low priority. if you need it urgently visit http://openthinclient.com and have a look at their service offers. about "desktop wallpapers": right now it's possible to configure any wallpaper you want by the desktop-application: http://openthinclient.org/tiki-index.php?page_ref_id=100 to have it changed every couple of minutes you either need some descent linux-/otc-hacking knowledge or again contact openthinclient.com. this feature is not planned. regards, martin Am 31.01.2011 11:56, schrieb Dray, Greg: > Hi All. > > I'm just trying OpenThinClient for use with our company intranet.
