here is my response to your issues.
Edacafe's first email indicated that I had requested their email
newsletter, completely false and misleading. In my opinion this is a legal
ploy to avoid being accused of spamming. This means that the organization,
whoever it is, is not beyond doing anything to reach a target audience.
There is no difference between directed and non-directed spam, it is still
unsolicited spam.
I have visited the edacafe website long ago, there is nothing there
I am interested in whatsoever.
If the edacafe can resort to spamming me and you, who says that they
are not going to attempt to sell their email lists to others, web marketers
& website developers are in dire straights these days and many are doing
most anything to try and stay alive.
Who is Edacafe, recognized by who, seems to me that I cannot even
determine exactly what they are doing let alone where they make their money
from other then some limited advertising? Does anybody who sets up a
commercial website with a specific target audience qualify as recognized?
Their information I have perused is very limited and outdated, take Protel's
price for instance it is still listing the Pre-July pricing. So who
recognizes them, Protel obviously is not keeping them informed or working
with them to ensure their details are correct.
Why would you possibly advise anybody not to try "swatting down"
Edacafe? They are spamming under the pretext of solicited mailings. That
alone makes my blood boil, they are obviously not above bold face lies and
any other unscrupulous means to get their message out.
To anybody who is interested, I plan to give their sales and
marketing manager a call when I have a free moment. According to the

I plan to demand a full explanation of where they obtained my email
address from. Depending on the time available to me in the next while, I
will keep on it until they can give me an answer and remove me from their
mailing list. The next mailing that arrives in a day or two and I will
increase my efforts. Let's see how they like having their time wasted
dealing with our legitimate enquiries about their practices and actions.
