Hi everyone,
I've set up a new OpenVAS 7 installation in our network and am currently
working to get
it configured. While working on the scan configs, I noticed some strange
behaviour.
Here are the steps I am performing.
- First I export the "Full and very deep" config to a XML file (I also tried
cloning, the sam
behaviour applies)
- I change the name and comment of the XML to my needs ("_" is the only special
characters)
- I import the scan config
- This succeeds w/o any issue
- As next step, I press the "tool" icon to edit the scan config. The edit
dialog opens. The only thing I change is to
deactivate the AIX checks (as an example). Anything else stays untouched.
- I now press the "Save Config" button and receive the following error
- Obviously there is nothing wrong with the comment field- though I simply
remove the whole comment, uncheck the
AIX checks again and press the "Save Config" button again.
- This time the save operation succeeds, but the complete configuration is
messed up. Almost all checks are unchecked
and set to "static" instead of "dynamic".
Any idea why/what is happening here?
