The problem appears to be isolated to omp. openvasmd binds to ipv6 and I
see it in netstat, the omp client throws the error "failed to acquire
socket". I looked at the source code but I'm not smart enough to tell if
the client/server framework has ipv6 support.

If I asked on the devel list, would I have better luck getting an answer
from the programmers?

Thank you for your reply.
