We maintain multiple branches in parallel, but releases for the
"previous release branch" will be less frequent as only major bugfixes
will be backported.  That means, if there are no more bugs that are
relevant to 2.5, there will be no new 2.5.x releases either :-)

New features will not show up in 2.5.x at this point in the release
cycle (usually it's "no new features in a minor release at all", but
for .0->.1->.2 we're not that strict for "interesting features that
have missed the .0 release for whatever reason").
