Running diff between the two versions (both cpe_control and driver) it seems that it adds support for remotely changing xDSL mode and requesting system reboot over DSL link. Seems to be DrayTek's way of doing autoconfiguration. I don't know if this is generic DSL feature or is it meant for some specific ISP but it probably needs matching firmware and definitely userspace support. It's probably safe to include it in openwrt but I doubt that anyone will make use of this, especially knowing that those functions might disappear from the API if we get newer driver source from elsewhere. > Maybe you and Aleksander can try this patch again? Sure, I'll flash my device with this and let it run for some time to see if there are any problems. > > _______________________________________________ openwrt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openwrt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-devel
