I should have mentioned it, the reason is simple: I think there needs to be a simple (e.g. without ethernet) .dts in linux.git when I will send the patches to Linux maintainers.

The OpenWrt .dts will be more complete though (e.g. with ethernet).

At the time being I test my changes with a linux.git build and a small initramfs, rather than a full OpenWrt build which takes longer to rebuild, so the .dts in linux.git contains all sorts of things that will be moved to OpenWrt's .dts when I submit a more final patchset.

I did not spend time cleaning the linux.git .dts file yet as I would have to undo and redo this change many times while I test drivers.


Maybe I should put this as a comment in the linux.git .dts so I don't forget to do this.
