That "BOARD IS NOT CALIBRATED!!!" makes me to think that you have somehow
destroyed the "art" (or "caldata") partition on flash, which partition
contains the calibration data for the wifi chip.
Normally that partition is touched by neither Netgear OEM nor Openwrt
firmware flash, and the "art" section is also write-protected in Openwrt.
Have you done something special? Tried some flash commands from u-boot? Or
compiled a private firmware that intentionally removed the write-
protection?
If you need need a replacement copy for the "art" on wndr3800, you might
check my wndr3700 community build download site. I have placed there the
binary copies of art from andr3700v1, v2 and 3800.

(But you are on your own regarding flashing the art partition back from
u-boot. I have never done that...)
