I get the same issue on Chaos Calmer r46767 with a TP-Link WR841ND. During
high traffic the wireless link just stops functioning, but shows
connected. I fix by changing my client mac address and reconnecting.

Looks like DD-wrt had the same issue, but they managed to fix it recently.
