Have you tried to use another ethernet port? If I remember correctly I had a similar problem with wdr3600 and was not able to freely choose an ethernet port. I tried so long till I found a port which took my vlan and wan2 config. Good look. Hope this hint helps.

When i vlan1 to wan1 (in the same port) i lost conectivity. I only change the pyshical device to eth0.1 and everithing goes wrong.
