I have installed a self-compiled Chaos Calmer on a Mikrotik RB951g-2hnd.
It is intended to be used as a openvpn-client for home-work, to be
placed behind the normal home-network.
If there is a cable in the wan-port, it takes about 7minutes 30 seconds,
from power on to it tell, it has booted with a beep.
Without a cable in the wan-port it only takes 8 seconds until the same
beep.
I never found a solution, but it looks like a hardware-problem.
In the GUI switch I have changed the second port from LAN to WAN. With
the wan-cable in the second port, boot-time is normal below 10 seconds.
When I tried again in the original wan-port boot-time was over 5 minutes
again.
