I did, but there was something about perl modules, so I cleaned everything up 
and started over again, successfully!

OpenXPKI started, but the Mason client says
I18N_OPENXPKI_CLIENT_INCORRECT_COMMUNICATION_STATE; __STATUS__ => can_send
