Not sure what the dependency status is, but build issues are to be expected this week due to opm-parser integration. Maybe it is the new parser dependency that bit you?
Currently we do support Red Hat 5 (it is helpful if you share exactly what Red Hat version you use). However, developers really want all that new C++ stuff, so we decided to put GCC 4.4 as the minimum requirement. GCC 4.4 is provided for Red Hat 5 by Red Hat through tech preview, and works well here. The requirement has been coordinated with Dune, so if you are able to build opm, you should also be able to build Dune. I believe there are also Dune rpm's available for Red Hat thanks to Arne Morten, not sure how that works out with current git though. DUNE is optional, isn't it? What is the commit that made it a requirement? I'm having trouble trying to build dune-istl on an ancient Red Hat cluster with mixed toolchain. Sincerely, Júlio.
