Hi Julien,

Great that you could join!

I don’t think this is the right forum for a discussion on lab as a service.  LaaS is more focused on enabling development environments in our infrastructure whereas this BoF will talk about needed equipment build practices in carrier networks.

Hi Chris,

Good idea, and I will attend the discussion then. Is this topic relevant with Lab as a service?

Regards,

Julien

Hi Pharos project,

I have proposed a “birds of a feather” session on the Monday design summit at 14:30 to discuss a topic related to Pharos - Infrastructure build practices; scale up, constrained and on premise devices.

I’d like to start dialogs around how we can approach evaluating and documenting additional build practices in NFV environments from scaling up beyond the minimum Pharos POD, to small form CO equipment, to residential on-premise devices.

The idea is not to resolve these topics during the session, more to identify how to structure dialogs and contributions to OPNFV when we want to investigate and align on these physical forms.  Please try to make the time to come along if you can, it is scheduled for the time-slot after the OPNFV Infra Discussions topic.  It may be the “OPNFV Infra Discussions” topic is the right place to discuss these topics, if that is the right approach I would be happy to have this topic called out explicitly in one of those time-slots rather than as a separate topic.  (not fussed either way, I thought a BoF would be an easy way to incubate a dialog.)

/ Chris
