? I thought Danube was based upon Ocata... but anyway thanks for the info.

Are there draft docs for the ovno project yet? I looked thru the repo and
artifacts page but all I see are copies of other docs and templates.

Per features of interest, I will need to get our Contrail SMEs to weigh in, but
at the least the basic use of OCL to setup the local overlay for VNFs is a
start (I think this uses the vRouter basic functionality), followed by service
chaining, and from there I am out of my comfort zone.

But having OCL integrated into OPNFV scenarios, and testable side-by-side with
other SDNC/NFVI-networking components re features, efficiency, performance, and
resiliency is the basic goal.
- What specific features are of interest is as above TBD.
- Efficiency relates to the impact on resources to deploy/operate this as the
SDNC/NFVI-networking solution.
- Performance relates to how well it performs for highly performance-sensitive
VNFs.
- Resiliency relates to how well it reacts to or recovers from stressful
conditions (load, fault, threats, ...)

OCL will be a scenario-dependency when we integrate Gluon into OPNFV releases.
We will also be including OCL as an SDNC in scenarios supported in the Armada
project, which we intend to start for the F release. Armada will be based upon
OpenStack Helm and include Helm charts for OCL ala
https://github.com/Juniper/contrail-docker/wiki/Provisioning-OpenStack-cluster-using-openstack-helm-and-contrail.

Subject: Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] OpenContrail support in OPNFV

We didn’t make it with Danube due to lack of OpenContrail support for Mikata in
time.

We are very close to a working deployment with Euphrates (but fighting a
hardware issue in our lab right now). We should make it into Euphrates release.
These are “vanilla” OpenContrail scenarios just testing with Tempest and Rallye
– but include all the standard OpenContrail features, like L2/L3 networks, L3
services like ACL-based network policy, ECMP, service chaining, BGP peering
from controller to gateways, BPGaaS in vRouter, etc.

What specific requirements do you have?

    Hi all,

Whoever is working on any OCL scenarios for Danube or Euphrates, please let
me know the status of that work, e.g. which scenarios are deployable, and what
is the latest build that is deployable. We had not been actively testing with
OCL but it is a key part of our AIC (AT&T Integrated Cloud) platform, and I
need to be sure that it's included in OPNFV supported scenarios. So though we
are not the technical experts that would develop the scenarios, we would like
to work with whoever is, to test the scenarios and ensure that they are
supported in Dovetail asap.

Looking forward to any advice on this.
