I wouldn't change the check itself, just change that "timeout" to
something like 120 and you'll be good to go.
I have a few checks that run once a day and changing that "fixed"
the graphs.

As a suggestion, it would be nice to have opsview do that for you
when the check frequency is 30 min or over (set it to twice the
service check frequency).
