I think I share the same frustration as Markus.

I just want to say that this is good feedback, so thanks Rafael and Markus.

If you assign a template to a host, you don't know what checks that template uses (that's within the monitors tab). I would think that all monitors (service checks) that are used by a host should appear checked (monitors tab). Then, maybe, for the ones that were assigned by a host template, the checkbox should be read- only (that would indicate that this monitor was assigned by a template as opposed to manually checking it).

The only problem I see is that currently, if I'm not mistaken, you guys allow a check to be manually selected even if that check was assigned to that host by a template.

We allow a check to be manually selected at the host level because you may want to set an exception or a timed exception. So we can't make the checkbox read only.
