Now it works.

Hello,

Here http://docs.opsview.org/doku.php?id=opsview3.3:snmptrapconfiguration

is suggested that you add the option -Lf /tmp/snmptrapd.log to snmptrapd.

But where? In the file "/etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf as a single line, or
after traphandle default /usr/local/nagios/bin/snmptrap2nagios or
elsewhere?!

When i manually send the message to snmptrap2nagios:

cat /tmp/testtrap | /usr/local/nagios/bin/snmptrap2nagios -d -e
/tmp/snmptrap.exception

i get an exception as described. But traps are not shown in the SNMP
Trap-tracing of few hosts. ("No Traps collected")
The traps are sent out correctly, I can collect them on my workstation.

Is there any more configuration needed? (Ubuntu 8.04)
Port 162 is open (udp) an registered in IPTables

Thanks for help!

Mario
