Can anyone shed light on this - have looked back through previous posts to see
if there is anything that is relevant and it seems that people have had this
before but I cant see any relevant solutions to the problems.

I have removed the files from the load directory, restarted snmpd and
re-promoted. Opsview says Yes its ok, moves the MIB into load and then a few
minutes later you get the same error message.

I have read and re-read the documentation on the website but that doesn't seem
to give me any pointers either.

I have copied the contents of the trap from the sql-lite database and saved
that to /tmp/testtrap and run the snmptrap2nagios test and instead of getting a
code "2" instead of "5" in the result:

r...@lon-svr-mon1:/tmp# more snmptrap.exception4

1254755756

2 LON-SVR-BE1

lon-svr-be1.gswitch.local

UDP: [10.9.0.70]:52821

DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance 0:0:21:06.49

SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1302.3.1.2.8.3

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1302.3.3.5 "Backup Exec: Job Succeeded"

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1302.3.3.1 "LON-SVR-BE1"

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1302.3.3.3 "Backup 00103"

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1302.3.3.6 "Completed Successfully."

SNMP-COMMUNITY-MIB::snmpTrapAddress 10.9.0.70

SNMP-COMMUNITY-MIB::snmpTrapCommunity "*****"

SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapEnterprise SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1302.3.1.2.8#---next
trap---#

I have edited the line "SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1302.3.1.2.8.0.3" and made this
"SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1302.3.1.2.8.3" this gives me the same results

I have tried loading in other MIBs for Dell Open Manage applications to see if
this is an issue with it coming from a server 2008 box but I get the same
errors on the Server 2003 box as well.

It's starting to frustrate me because from what I can see in the
documentation/Opsview configuration that everything is loaded as it should be.
I am wondering whether this is a bug in Opsview that is due to be fixed in a
upcoming release but couldn't see anything in the quick hunt round the site
earlier today.

I appreciate there is an SNMP training course for Opsview however I am trying
to evaluate the features of the product with a potential for it to be used at
work on a larger scale and getting some basic SNMP trap processing (ie more
than just 1 interface state change on a switch) is a precursor to work looking
to take it further and spend money on getting it working.

Please can someone shed some light on where I am going wrong please.

Regards,

Matt
