Hi Raoul,

read: http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html and afterwards find
the answer in the comments of your article.

Hint: It's because postfix doesn't know where to find the certificate
gmail used to sign its own certificate.
Fix: Locate the file Thawte_Premium_Server_CA.pem and append its content
to your cacert.pem.
