Usually this is if the SSL option was not compiled with the agent.
Did you install the opsview linux agent, or compile it?
Remember to a)
use --with-ssl=/directory to ssl and --use-ssl-lib=directory to
ssl-libs, and i also always compile with --enable-command-args, so you
can pass command arguments.
I did run into that issue, but haven't since I recompiled with the
proper ssl libs.

Hi, to everybody.
we have servers which are monitored by nagios and nrpe 2.12 works on the
servers.
I have just installed opsview community editon 3.7 on Ubuntu 10.04.
When I have added to the opsview (for basic control, such as workload), then
Opsview Servers raises error (CHECK_NRPE:Error : Could not complete SSL
handshake).
-is this problem related with the nrpe version differences? (If version of
Nrpe which is running on Opsview different from the monitored server)
-Which version of open ssl should be installed on the servers which are
being monitored by Opsview ?
-what is the difference between Opsview agent and nagios agent?
-Do we have to use only opsview agent for monitoring? Can we monitor the
existing servers which has monitored by Nagios without any configuration?
-Is there any Opsview agent for RHEL 5.x ?

If any help, I would be grateful,
