...but I see nothing else of relevance in any 3.0 releases post 3.0.2
Would it be possible to confirm if this is what you are referring to ?
If so then we can eliminate that from our enquiries.
It is the fix listed as "Fixed 'View Some, Change Some' and other
limited profiles gaining too much view access within hostgroup

3.0.4.
