In previous version, there was a place that allowed us to place links for docs in service checks. This meet all our requirements. Now the links are gone which delay deployment for a very long time. Links can be added for hosts, not service checks. It was presented that the solution is to use markdown filters, so we spun our gears to no end.
Caveat emptor. There is always the risk with Opsview Community edition that we'll break something for existing users. We'll endeavor to resolve this in future releases and we use this feedback when figuring out what is introduced to the Enterprise release.
As I've said before, we strongly recommend the Enterprise edition for large scale / mission critical deployments.
