Thanks for the help Paul. send2slaves -t says its connected to the slave, and there are no errors in communicating, which is all good of course. Perhaps everything is fine, but I'm just not sure how to confirm this as my slave checks are showing critical.
The fact that my slave checks are critical led me to believe my slave was not set up properly. On my master server, the "opsview slaves" service check says " SLAVE CRITICAL - Problem with slaves: opsview-slave" and the "Slave-node: opsview-slave" service check indicates "SLAVE CRITICAL - Error returned from retrieval: Status file does not exist" Is there any configuration that should be done to have these slave checks go green (if indeed my slave is working as intended)? Ideally, I'd like some way for the master to notify if my slave stops functioning properly. Thanks in advance!
