Hi! All, I am facing an issue I am not able to restart the Opsview services whenever i try i get the below mentioned error, I am using Opsview Community Editiion 3.9.1 error when I tried logging in as nagios user I would like to change the home directory for nagios user to /home/nagios could you kindly let me know what are the changes required in Opsview configuration post the change of nagios home directory to be done for opsview to start working.
For testing purpose I tried changing nagios home directory once done the error disappears but i am not able to start opsview as it throws out an error service opsview-web start Starting opsview-web: Use of uninitialized value in -f at /usr/local/nagios/perl/lib/Log/Dispatch/FileRotate.pm line 280. Cannot write to '/var/log/opsview/opsview-web.log': Permission denied at /usr/local/nagios/perl/lib/Log/Dispatch/File.pm line 85. Compilation failed in require at script/opsview_web_server.pl line 62. but the previous error given below has stopped I have reverted the nagios home directory to its previous location /var/log/nagios. please help me as this is very crirical for me since ny opsview server has stopped working since this morning. /var/log/nagios/.bash_profile: Permission denied Environment not set - have you run 'su - nagios'? Kindly revert
