Ducan, I have compared this with my system and it looks the same i did not find any change when I start Opsview it throws up an error
[root@inbgnagsrv log]# /etc/init.d/opsview start Starting opsview... Cannot write to '/var/log/opsview/opsviewd.log': Permission denied at /usr/local/nagios/bin/../perl/lib/Log/Dispatch/File.pm line 85. Cannot startup import_ndologsd I have checked the permission on log folder some how i have a feeling that the problem lies here please find below the permision on my server and kindly let me know if this needs changes. I have checked from /var and the result is as below.
