*Client: State Farm Insurance* *TITLE: TECHNICAL ANALYST - MIDDLEWARE CONSULTANT )(1 Year)* *LOCATION: Normal**, IL** * *All Jobs(except noted ) have a **1** **Month contract that run till 12/31/08 then they come up for a year renewal at that point and about 90-95% of them get renewed. * * Rates: OPEN* The individual (s) in this position is required to have the following experience/skills: In-depth knowledge of WebSphere MQ (Z/OS, UNIX, and Windows platforms) In-depth knowledge of WebSphere MQ Workflow - WMQWf (Z/OS and UNIX platforms) In-depth knowledge of HP Service Desk and Service Management principles. Ability to create detailed installation and support documentation Ability to use HP Service Desk and associated products to provide trending and metrics of products. Scripting and development skills. (Z/OS, UNIX and Windows platforms). Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Ability to adapt to a changing environment and priorities Strong focus on customer service Working knowledge of ITIL Service Management principals *Roles and Responsibilities: * Perform complex incident and problem resolution including: identifying root cause and or providing resolution alternatives, recommending and implementing courses of action, and resolution of the issue. Document and create Knowledge Item solutions for future reference Research and communicate event trends for automation or root cause analysts Work with a variety of areas including: customers, co-workers, business partners, server type owners and service providers Work closely with Incident Management and other Problem Management teams Monitor and report infrastructure impacts and facilitate resolution. Work with the appropriate areas to resolve and recover. Track and implement changes to the WebSphere MQ Workflow environments and servers Request software from supplier and perform network issuance of WMQWf products Customize WMQWf as appropriate for target system. Change control and implementation as defined within the Service Management implementation at State Farm. Problem resolution with the IBM WMQWf lab as needed.
