Duration: 2 year contract with likely extension
Description:
This position will be required to use the OpNet tool. In this
capacity, application engineers will ask the OpNet engineer to run
network simulations using OpNet Modeler software. This tool will be
used to predict how applications will perform on the customer’s
network. The OpNet engineer will communicate this information to the
application engineer to assist in predicting how the application will
perform in the customer network when deployed. Additionally, the
position may be called upon periodically to assist in troubleshooting
problems within the customer’s network using OpNet. Data on a specific
problem will be gathered and input into the OpNet tool and the results
used to better understand the root cause of certain problems, such as
slow application response.
Skill Experience Need
1) OpNet Intermediate Required
2) IP Network Knowledge Intermediate Required
