*REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: *

Experience with SAS/ACCESS interface to Oracle and SAS Enterprise Guide
strongly preferred

-3+ years of experience transforming and analyzing large data sets using
SAS/BASE & SAS/MACRO (version 9.1.3 or similar preferred),



-3+ years experience sourcing, transferring, cleaning and loading large data
sets into SAS from a variety of applications/databases

(Oracle, DB2, SQL, Access, Spreadsheets, text files) and environments
(windows, unix, linux, as400, mainframe, etc.).

Candidate is not required to have experience with all databases and
environments but the more variety of experience the better.

-Experience developing and delivering reporting solutions using SAS.



There are looking for an experienced SAS Developer to support a fortune 500
client.

Both teams are new to SAS within the last year and are leveraging SAS
knowledge within the organization to ramp up skill sets within their teams.

Projects are underway to capture data sets from 20 different source systems,
transfer,

load and clean the data and make it available to various Actuarial teams for
further transformation and modeling.



*This position would: *

•Work with business analysts and source system developers to define the
frequency, format, transfer, load and data cleaning process for the source
system feeds,

•Develop and maintain data extractions for transfer from SAS to the DWH, as
appropriate.

•Recommend, implement and manage appropriate processes, controls, standards
and best practices in the shared SAS environment that will reduce risk while
still achieving a dynamic,

responsive environment for the Actuarial team to complete their analysis.

•Provide guidance to users on transforming and managing data sets within
SAS.

•Provide ad hoc training to SAS end users.

•Provide guidance regarding the capabilities and limitations of SAS as input
to developing a long term reporting strategy for each of our businesses.

•Develop and deliver reporting solutions using SAS.



*REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: *

-3+ years of experience transforming and analyzing large data sets using
SAS/BASE & SAS/MACRO (version 9.1.3 or similar preferred),

3+ years experience sourcing, transferring, cleaning and loading large data
sets into SAS from a variety of applications/databases

(Oracle, DB2, SQL, Access, Spreadsheets, text files) and environments
(windows, unix, linux, as400, mainframe, etc.).

Candidate is not required to have experience with all databases and
environments but the more variety of experience the better.

-Experience developing and delivering reporting solutions using SAS.

-This position works closely with a broad range of local and remote staff
and will require strong relationship building, collaboration and
communication skills.

-Must be a highly motivated, self starter who can achieve results working
autonomously.

-Proven track record of working on complex analytical and reporting
projects.



*ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: *

-Experience with SAS/ACCESS interface to Oracle and SAS Enterprise Guide
strongly preferred

-Experience with SAS/CONNECT and SAS Integration preferred

-Experience with SAS version 9.1.3 preferred

-PL/SQL experience preferred

-Statistics/ math and/or insurance background would be an asset

-Experience with SAS/STAT & SAS/ETS would be an asset

-Large Oracle database experience would be an asset

-Experience in a data warehouse environment would be an asset

-Experience developing and delivering solutions in Cognos, Crystal or
Business Objects would be an asset.
