Job responsibilities: Collects and writes system requirements for a terabyte high performance Operational Data Store (ODS) system for mobile broadband monitoring application. Architects and develops the ODS system to meet functional,capacity and performance requirements. Performs project management role for possible outsourced development. Has the responsibility in performance tuning of the ODS system. Interfaces with customer and/or partners to ensure that the system meets performance requirements. Performs tasks on all phases of software life cycles from requirements to system testing. Works extensively with a small but highly efficient team of expert mobile network engineers to delivery feature releases on time and within budget. Supports field engineers to debug and resolve problems in customers’ networks. Qualifications: Experienced in Enterprise-level Data Warehouse solutions with strong skills and Proficiency with Business Intelligence/Reporting methodologies (including ODS/OLAP tools and architecture, Reporting systems, Data Warehouse/ETL best practices) Performs analysis, development and evaluation of data mining in a data warehouse environment which includes: data design; database architecture; design and implementation of Extraction,Transformation,and Loading processes; metadata and repository creation; and Business Intelligence implementations and reporting. Develops and monitors processes to ensure system maintainability and reliability and accuracy of data loaded into the data warehouse.Very strong experience in performance analysis and tuning of Oracle and/or MySQL databases, using DB tools (Explain Plan, DBMS Profiler) as well as third party tools The candidate must have knowledge and understanding of Oracle and/or MySQL databases and be proficient in SQL. Large scale database experience (terabyte or better) required Should have excellent analytical skills and ability to define requirements and apply them to system design and implementation goals Significant working knowledge with all phases in the entire project lifecycle. Candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and orally. This position requires that the candidate be detailed-oriented, comfortable working on a team, as well as working independently with minimal supervision.
