A number of application and hardware platforms are supported. This is an environment management vs Developer role *Build out tasks typically include:* - Definition of hardware/software requirements, coordination of hardware order, OS installation/configuration etc. - Installation/configuration of application software, environments, etc… (some platforms require coordination of these steps) - Test, validate, coordinate turnover to application teams, etc. - Creation of standard documentation (i.e. backup/recovery, High Availability, Disaster Recovery), processes/procedures, etc. *Environment maintenace tasks typically include:* - Routine support tasks - Working with users to resolve issues - Updating standard documentation, processes/procedures, etc. - Some scripting, coding to automate reptitive tasks - Capactiy Mangement *Other secondary job responsibilities include:* - Perform administartive/technical tasks in support of the Configuration Management process. *Skill Sets* (3+ years) Experience installing, configuring and maintaining the following software: Ab Initio, i2 MDM, Teradata, Informatica, Business Objects, WebLogic and Vision Chain. (3+ years) Some programming/development experience in the above software and/or Windows batch/Korn shell scripting, Java, Perl, etc… (5+ years) Drive issue management process at their level for the project; proper escalation as needed (5+ years) Working knowledge of project support tools like: PowerPoint, Word, Excel and MS Project; Ability to maintain schedules and status reports on a weekly and monthly basis *Required Qualifications* 5+ years Infrastructure/Environment management experience (3+ years) Strong Unix/Linux, Windows Administration skills and knowledge of the following OS/hardware platforms: Unix (AIX, HP-UX), Linux (SLES) and Windows Server. (5+ years) Good written and oral communications; some training skills may be required; Service orientation; self directed; process driven and customer focused; Proven ability to work horizontally and vertically across an organization of diverse teams and leadership styles; Highly self-motivated with a history of achieving results with little supervision.
