been to a place (Oracle install) where all power was shutdown each night
at midnight in the entire building. talk about having a short backup
window ...
also, I wonder - if a mouse, hamster or other rodent (LOTS of them)
wouldn't be more efficient for producing power. See, with a rodent, the
droppings fall through the wire, not effecting the thermodynamic
efficiency of the engine. Isn't a flywheel much more effective at a
modrate rotational velocity?
But Elephants ... have you ever ridden one of those rides that is
similar to the spin cycle of a washing machine? the rotation increases
until the centripital force is great enough to cause you to stick to the
wall of the chamber - followed by the floor dropping out, or the angle
of gyration being increased from normal to the earth's surface to nearly
parallel?
Imagine if the elephant charged for a short while.
The onlooking dung-flinging monkeys would be quite jealous as to the
range of the projectile matter.
something to think about while sitting in traffic this weekend.
