Nothing surprising. Oracle is so big that "one head doesn't know what another head does." At least when they don't have to certify pieces together 8-)
The only problem with current Oracle GUI is Java... from another point, this makes (ok, suppose to) the same GUI working on differnet platforms. I personally would prefer different looking but fast GUI than working the same slow. Perhaps, the comand line is the best GUI we can get. :) - always fast and always the same. -- Alexandre ----- Original Message ----- To: "Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 3:48 PM > Can I get an Amen??? :) > > ---------------------------------------------- > | Brian McGraw /* DBA */ Infinity Insurance | > | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] | > ---------------------------------------------- > > -----Original Message----- > Sent: Monday, June 17, 2002 9:38 PM > To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L > > Brian, come one hard core oracle people know that windoze is not a real > OS. > > And hard core oracle people only use the Oracle GUI tools, no toad or > any of the rest of that crap, OEM runs on linux, i dont see a stinkin > toad running on anything other than windoze and we all know the unix > heads(including myself) live and die by the command line, its the only > way to live. > > joe > > > Brian McGraw wrote: > > > I couldn't believe that, Ron, so I had to check it out myself.
