copy has been around for a loooong time from the 8.1.7 docs COPY {FROM database | TO database | FROM database TO database} {APPEND|CREATE|INSERT|REPLACE} destination_table [(column, column, column, ...)] USING query
and the example SQL> COPY FROM SCOTT/TIGER@HQ - > CREATE SALESMEN (EMPNO,SALESMAN) - > USING SELECT EMPNO, ENAME FROM EMP - > WHERE JOB='SALESMAN' if you are copying within the same database you can leave out the from/to clause. If you are logged onto one of the two databases, you can leave out the from or to clause --- Yechiel Adar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I checked the docs for 8.1.6 and 9.0.1. > I think that the copy command is new in 9i. > make sure that you are logged on to 9i sqlplus when you issue this > command. > > Yechiel Adar > Mehish > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Ramon E.
