I am not familiar with the term "cube". Could someone give me a short definition?

When we first bought it (3 or 4 years ago), I had a cube built within a day. It was much cheaper and easier to use the Oracle Express. Building a cube can hit your system pretty hard (all of the data needs to be read to summarize it into a cube). You build your cubes off hours and you don't let users build them on demand.
