It's not a social aberration. Only, people shouldn't be running production databases on NT and related systems. I've been blessed with the several opportunities to interview a candidate with MSCE,OCP and no unix experience for a DBA position, and I'm fully aware of their "capabilities". Windoze is not for databases, regardless of what you think about the world of adults (high-skill-set elitists/purists) This debate is getting increasingly personal and that is why I am going to end it right now.
