Dan, is your datafile approaching (or past) the maxsize setting? AUTOEXTEND functionality won't grow a file beyond this but I believe it's possible to manuallly resize the file beyond the MAXSIZE figure. That would explain the apparent anomaly. regards, Mike Hately
