The documentation you want to look at starts at: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96521/dba.htm#1167 Basically I think you need to create a paswordfile using orapwd and set the REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE parameter.
