Job Name: NC - Senior OBIEE Administrator Location: CHARLOTTE, NC Duration: 1 year *Job Purpose/ Description:* The Asset Management and Enterprise Services (AMES) group within the Technology and Operations Division provides technology services to Asset Management, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance and the Finance and Actuarial Divisions. Within AMES-IT resides the Application Architecture, Development and Integration (AADI) group. AADI provides a number of technology services: Centers of Excellence (COE) for reporting, ETL, BPM, SOA and Data Movement development; Application architecture and design, development governance, internal component support and development, release management and liaison to Core IT group regarding new technologies and support of existing ones. We are seeking candidates to fill an Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) Administrator position that will specialize in administration of the AMES Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) environments. The successful candidate should have the combination of education and experience that provides the basis for delivering the necessary job functions, skills, and knowledge as described in this job description Tasks and Responsibilities: • Provide full life-cycle support to the AMES Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition + (OBIEE) environments. • Ensure the overall health and performance of OBIEE to include performance tuning, environment reliability and availability, and system recoverability. Diagnoses and resolves application bottlenecks and performance issues. • Install, configure, and administer the OBIEE platform for maximum utilization and throughput. • Establish and govern a Multi User Development (MUD) environment to include developing and documenting best practices. • Establish and maintain an interface with Active Directory for authentication. Define and govern the entitlements and authentication strategy. • Troubleshoot BI Tools and tune performance. • Serve as a subject matter expert for OBIEE+, demonstrating expertise in Oracle BI Server, Oracle BI Answers, Oracle BI Interactive Dashboard, Oracle BI Publisher, and OBIEE Performance tuning of the BI applications. • Work collaboratively with technical staff, and business experts to develop solutions to business requirements and client problems. • Mentor other team members on new and existing technologies and help guide the Business Intelligence development process. Required education/experience: • A minimum of 5 years experience providing Business Intelligence administration/development in a Fortune 500 company. • 3+ years of Oracle OBIEE systems administration experience. • Minimum of 2+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining OBIEE on a Red Hat Linux platform. • 2+ years of experience with Web Server and Application Server administration (preferably WebLogic). • Strong experience with BI Architecture, Dimensional Modeling and Data Warehousing. • Experience in Database (Oracle) and UNIX administration is a BIG plus. • Experience with SOA Architectures is a BIG plus • B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline. • Graduate degree in Business, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline is a BIG plus. • Personal skills: Possess a strong work ethic, self-starter, creative, a focus on customer service, possess a high level of energy, enthusiasm, have strong oral and written communication and people skills, team player, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task, commitment and appreciate the application of technology in support of our business. -- Thanks & Regards, Abhi a...@cigniti.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
