Agile experience on at least 1 project - Scrum is preferred (2-3 week sprints); also participating in continuous integration, unit tests, or test driven development +AWS/cloud knowledge +experience working on data intensive projects or applications *Job Description: * The Member Regulation team is looking to bring on a mid/senior level Java Developer to help support the Advanced Analytics projects. The team is made up of 4 Java Developers working closely with data scientists and analytics engineers. FINRA's mission is to protect investors and market integrity. The Advanced Analytics project directly impacts this by using all the data they collect from exams, surveillance patterns, and risk scores to assess firms within the financial securities industry. The data is used to create analytics and gather more information about the firm's activity in order to assess their risk factor. This project is highly innovative in a sense that no other regulatory organization has this type of analytics on a firm so it puts FINRA a head of the game enabling them to protect investors better than any other regulator. **The 2 main applications this developer will support are called Data Services and Request. Both applications are used for data retrieval in regards to member firms and brokers. The technical environment includes Java, Spring, Hibernate, React, Angular, Restful Web Services, AWS. Data Services - moving the application to the cloud using AWS.
