Job Title: MicroStrategy Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Contract positon - 6 months plus

Description:
MiscroStrategy Developer - This position is primarily responsible for
project activities that include designing, building and testing
MicroStrategy objects in conjunction with other team developers.

In addition, these activities can and will include project architecture,
creating and/or modifying application, configuration and schema objects.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
--Working with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into
technical specifications.
--Build objects using the MicroStrategy tool set.
--Provide technical advice to corporate and non-corporate developers
creating MicroStrategy objects and ETL code.
--Support views and physical data models meant to service corporate
MicroStrategy users.
--Participate in project planning, milestone identifications, and resource
requirements.


Requirements:

The following characteristics are required for consideration:

--Minimum of 5-8 years of information technology experience.
--3+ years of applied experience developing and supporting MicroStrategy
v9/v8 using Desktop, and Architect toolsets to include experience with
Distributed, Report and OLAP Services.
--5+ years applied experience with Oracle 9i/10g, SQL Server, Teradata, and
Microsoft Office.
--Previous experience with full formal systems lifecycle methodology is
required.
--Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
--Familiarity with dimensional data modeling; star/snowflake schemas are
preferred.
--Previous telecomm industry is preferred.

*Key points: Need someone with very current skills (9.3.n at least) with
strong dashboard (Report Services) skills. There is a new set of features
called Visual Insight embedded in this product that need to be leveraged
for this project.*

Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
