Essential Duties and Responsibilities Job Description The ETL developer is responsible for extracting data from various sources (databases, flatfiles, ...), map and transform it to a target data model and actually load the data into the target in a sustainable and reliable way. Responsibilities The ETL developer (4 years experience or more) is able to design, document, develop, test, install and support complex data extract, transformation and load (ETL) programs. This person will be responsible for designing, coding, testing and documenting a central Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) for all kinds of operational reports and dashboards. This person will work in conjunction with other development and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security and integration requirements from the database perspective, and translate these requirements into functional, scalable and reusable components within the respective development/production architecture. The architecture includes MS SQL Server 2005, MS DTS/SSIS, Business Objects Data Services/Data Integrator, Business Objects Enterprise XI3 etc. · Solid understanding of the Data Warehousing process with special focus on ETL · Experience with Business Objects tool suite (Data Services/Integrator, XI 3 Universe design) · Know how to define database Data Stores and File Formats to allow Data Integrator XI to connect to the source or target database and files. · Expert skills in Data integrator XI (ETL) in design, creation, and implementation of Data Integrator scripts, work flows, and data flows. · Experience in performing simple and complex transformations in Data Flows. · Ability to design and develop Data Integrator scripts for data transformation. · Experience in cleansing data in DI using proper data types and mappings. · Ability to create Workflows using object library and tool palette to execute data flows. · Experience in Creating, Testing and Executing Data Integrator jobs using Data Integrator Designer to transfer data from source to target. · Experience in debugging execution errors using Data Integrator logs (trace, statistics, and error) and by examining the target data. · Good communication skills for requirements gathering (discussions with Business, Business Operations) · Advanced SQL skill including windowing functions · SQL Server 2000/2005 skills · Experience in Data modeling (data model design based on business requirements) Please send the resumes to do...@oberonit.com -- Thanks & Regards, Dolly Chack Oberon IT,Inc 1300 W Walnut Hill Ln suite 247 Irving,TX-75038 Email: do...@oberonit.com Phone # 972 607 9355 / 866 660 9190 Ext 306 Fax: 800 218 2820 =============================== -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OracleD2K" group.
